Frequently asked questions
Which languages are supported?
English, Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Bengali, Russian, Greek, Turkish, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Right-to-left scripts are supported.
How accurate is it?
Clear, printed text is recognised well. Skewed scans, small print and calligraphic styles such as Urdu Nastaliq are harder, so check important text.
Does it change how my pages look?
No. The text is stored invisibly on top of the original image, so the pages look identical.
Is it safe? Are my files uploaded?
Your files are never uploaded. Everything runs inside your own browser, so there is no server that could receive, store or leak your documents. You can even switch off your internet connection after the page has loaded and it keeps working.
